Workshops developed

I’ve been working for a decade researching, developing, and delivering programs and workshops. I started out doing this with the Native Centre at the University of Calgary where I developed a leadership skills program for Indigenous youth in Treaty 7 and Treaty 8 Territories.

University of Victoria Pride Retreat

We were contracted to provide a workshop on intersectionality, anti-oppression, and consent within the queer community: Strengthening our Anti-Oppressive Lens for LGBTQ2S Community (2014/15).

Co-Creating Decolonial Futures

This workshop is designed for non-Indigenous people who want to work in a more accountable way with Indigenous communities. It covers social, political and colonial histories of Canada to present day impacts: Co-Creating Decolonial Futures: Understanding Colonization Impacts on non-Indigenous Peoples.

Supporting Survivors of Gender Based and Sexual Violence

Different strategies and methods to hearing disclosures, supporting community members, providing referrals, and developing self-care practices.

Making Space for People that Cause Harm

Developed for men, but works for people of all genders. This workshop asks and answers questions about working with community members that cause harm, especially when working with people across gender and racial differences.

Trauma-informed Practices for Working with Survivors of Sexual Assault

This workshop was originally developed for University of Victoria Law students where I was hired by the Feminist Law Society at UVic. This is best suited for a series of engagements.

Tsartlip First Nation & Wet’suwet’en First Nation
